Refund Policy

Overview

PromptEval is a digital subscription service that delivers access immediately upon payment. Our refund policy is designed to comply with applicable consumer protection laws while reflecting the nature of immediately-delivered digital services.

Eligibility

14-day cooling-off period (all regions)

All users have the right to cancel within 14 calendar daysof purchase. Brazil's CDC Art. 49 requires a minimum of 7 days — we extend this to 14 days globally to align with international standards. Because the Service is delivered digitally and immediately, refunds are calculated proportionally based on credits consumed:

  • 0 credits used: full refund.
  • Partial credits used: refund proportional to unused credits.
  • All credits used: no refund — the Service was fully delivered.

European Economic Area — Consumer Rights Directive (14-day cooling-off)

EEA users have a 14-day right of withdrawal. By starting to use PromptEval immediately after purchase, you acknowledge that digital content delivery has begun. The right of withdrawal is waived upon first use of a credit, in accordance with Article 16(m) of the EU Consumer Rights Directive. Unused credits remain refundable within 14 days.

Other regions

The same 14-day window applies globally — same rules, same process.

Unlimited Plans (Pro and Team)

Pro and Team plans provide unlimited evaluations — there is no credit pool. Refunds for these plans within the 14-day window are granted in full if the Service was not used, or pro-rated based on the number of days elapsed in the billing period if usage occurred.

How to Request a Refund

Send an email to francisco@prompt-eval.com within the applicable window with:
  • Subject: "Refund Request — [your registered email]"
  • Your account email address.
  • Reason for cancellation (optional, but appreciated — it helps us improve).

Processing Time

Approved refunds are processed within 5 business days via Stripe. The credit will appear on your original payment method within 5–10 business days depending on your bank or card issuer. We do not charge any processing fees on refunds.

What Is Not Refundable

  • Credits already consumed in the current billing period.
  • Subscriptions cancelled after the applicable cooling-off window.
  • Remaining days after mid-cycle cancellation (access continues until the period ends).
  • Accounts suspended for violation of the Terms of Service.

Cancellation vs. Refund

Cancellation stops future charges and does not automatically trigger a refund. To request a refund, you must email us within the eligible window as described above. You can cancel your subscription at any time from the dashboard — no questions asked.
